The Gustavus onCampus pages are intended to serve three distinct on-campus audiences: students, faculty, and employees. They have evolved from being a mere collection of useful links to an aggregation of important information and online tools such as calendar events, campus news, directory search, and local weather. We just put the new and improved onCampus pages live.
The new design offers some distinct advantages over the old layout. First, there are a number of new and important features such as calendar events, campus news, and the weather on every page. We believe that users will find these services more useful if they are presented with them on their main page as they are now. In turn, we hope that the college calendar will increasingly be used to advertise events and announcements and that people will be more informed about things that are happening here.
Additionally, the design is more aesthetically pleasing, feels more open, matches the rest of the Gustavus website, and is easier to navigate. We hope that this will make for a more enjoyable and accessible experience.
