Our New Mobile Website

Nobody had even heard of a smartphone when we first got the Internet at my house. Many websites were still designed with a web safe color palette of 216 colors and tiled backgrounds were the cool, new kid on the block. A MIDI and a scrolling marquee gave you street--or at least Internet--cred. In those days, the web was wild.

On Campus Pages Brainstorming

Not many pages on the Gustavus website receive as much traffic as the On Campus page--particularly the section designed for students. We have been brainstorming some ideas on how to improve these pages for a while and want to see what you think about what we have in store.

Single Sign-On (SSO) for Gribly, College Calendar, and more

As of this afternoon, if you log in to the Gribly, you will also be logged in to the College Calendar, Google Calendar, Moodle, and a bunch of other areas of the Gustavus website.

College Calendar Gets Better Search

We just launched a major improvement to the way that the College Calendar displays search results which will help visitors find the information they are looking for.

Weather on the Calendar

We have added some weather information to the College Calendar. Hopefully each day's forecasted high and low temperatures will help give event-goers a little more context of what to expect at their events.

Calendar Widgets Get Date Links

You may have noticed that a number of Gustavus pages feature calendar widgets that display events from the College Calendar. Today we added a small but hopefully useful feature to these widgets--whenever a date is shown, that date will link to the same date in the College Calendar.
