Over the past couple of years, we have been working with the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library to digitize their sound library and present it on the web in an easy-to-use way.
Yesterday, this enormous project was completed. The entire sound library has been digitized and all of the liner notes have been scanned:
With this addition we now have three collections of streaming music available. The subscription databases Jazz Music Online and the Naxos Music Library are available through the database lists. To start listening to the Library’s Online Music, go to the catalog, search “online music” and limit the search to sound recordings. (Of course, other more specific searches can be run as well.) This collection is limited to on-campus use only.
Faculty members also have the option to virtually check out an album for two days to ensure its availability for class use.
