Have you ever wished that you could stay more informed with what is happening at Gustavus? Have you ever wished that there was an easier and quicker way to access Gustavus events and news?

You are in luck

Well, if you use a Windows computer or kiosk in one of the labs, you are in luck. you will now see today’s events, the latest news, and a link to check your e-mail right on your desktop.

How did we do it?

The technology behind this is called Active Desktop—a feature built into the Microsoft Windows operating system since Windows 95 that allows users to display interactive content as their desktop wallpaper. We have created an Active Desktop that offers a good balance of space for your icons and current information.

Staying informed has never been easier—just a single click away.

Tell us what you think

And we’d love to hear what you think about it. Post a comment and tell us something that you like, don’t like, or would like to see in the new desktop.
